Reflection on this Mother's Day

Foremost, I want to thank my mother and wish her the happiest of Mother's Day.
It's been several years since we've spent this day together, and I miss you once again in 2014.
It was great to see you here in Wisconsin just a few weeks ago.
Dad and me and Mom (2013)
Then, I also thought, in all the time mom was here, did I even get a picture with her and me?
I think not...missed opportunity, I hate that...make mental notes people, don't let "opportunity" be missed in life....So, the pict above was from our family trip to Durango, CO last summer. Love you mom, miss you too. We'll have that Mother's Day together again, I promise :)
Sharon, Erika & Cassidy (2013)
"the three most important women in my life"
I also want to tell my wife and love, and mother to our child, that I love her dearly and there are NO AMOUNT OF THANKS that I could possibly express how much we (me and Cassidy) owe her, need her and appreciate every moment she gives us. Even in the times we TAKE THAT TIME from you, and, without complaint (publicly) you pick up the weight of our worlds and some how in that mom way, shake things out and put straight all things once again.
Thank you. Happy Mother's Day - and love you.
Erika 'reflects' on her mom (2014)
Last, I want to express and give all my love out to everyone who has lost a mom, and faces Mother's Day without them. Erika lost her mom in January and this will be her family's first Mother's Day without Marion. Today, Erika took down all the sympathy cards from our fireplace mantle. I know she has had some apprehension in doing this, and the kind thoughts from with them, they are always in our hearts. So, Cassidy is at work and I was at the store, and she took it on. I found her out back (above) when I got home, she was on the patio, going through them....a tough task, and a tough woman to do it alone. (btw, I put down the camera and went to 'hug it out' with her right after this picture.)

But it was that image that meant so much. It's what inspired this post...

Marion, we will miss you on this holiday in 2014, but it will be just another day that we miss you, like today, like yesterday and like tomorrow...Mother Day. To all you who "miss mom" love and peace and good thoughts about mother....Happy Mother's Day
